Jeane Carmichael is a Trauma and Couples Therapist in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Having grown up in Brazil, very early Jeane developed a deep passion to listen to and understand people’s stories and see how she could somehow help them move beyond their hurt.

Her previous extensive work with internationals was the motivation that later on led her into becoming a Professional Counselor.

Jeane earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and holds her LPC license in the state of Louisiana. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and has experience using evidence-based treatments such as EMDR, CBT, Prepare/Enrich, Gottman, EFT, and others in her practice.

Currently, Jeane’s clinical work is focused on helping couples navigate some of the most complex marital challenges, including infidelity and grief, as well as providing advanced trauma-informed treatment to individuals (adults only).

She considers a privilege and the greatest reward to participate in and witness the growth of her clients.

Her diversified skills keep her busy as a clinician and a speaker to organizations on topics such as post-trauma recovery, high-performance under pressure, and relationships.

Jeane is married to Oliver, with whom she has “grown older” for more than two decades, and together they are enjoying the adventurous journey of parenting adult children. Her family attends church regularly and is committed to knowing God and being a tool in His hand.
