Candace Kirkpatrick is a graduate student at Liberty University pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Psychology and English.
Born in Lafayette, LA and raised in Youngsville, she has always possessed a desire to help encourage and motivate others to be the best version of themselves. Candace has a passion for working with children, teens, and adults who struggle with their self-worth, identity, and relationships. This led her to becoming a Certified Life and Health Coach in 2023 and currently a Certified Trauma Professional while working towards the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
As an intern with Brio Counseling Center, Candace’s mission is to empower individuals to unlock their full potential by fostering a healthier mindset and balanced sense of well-being using evidenced-based treatments such as CBT and Trauma-Informed approaches. She is empathetic and uses a collaborative, holistic approach to aid each client in reaching their ultimate goals.
Candace is the proud mother of two amazing children who she enjoys doing life with. In her free time, she loves anything outdoors, especially landscaping. She also enjoys cooking and baking, music, movies, and spending time with family and friends. Her faith is an essential part of her life, and she gives all glory to God for carrying her through, both personally and professionally.
