Having grown up in Brazil, very early Jeane developed a deep passion to extend her borders and meet different peoples and cultures. She met people from native tribes and other nations, people from different creeds, distinct economic and educational backgrounds, from different generations. Yet one thing fascinated her the most: their stories. She learned that suffering was a common theme and was curious to understand how people’s ability to see beyond their hurt could impact their lives. That was the motivation that later on led her into becoming a Professional Counselor.
Jeane earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and holds her LPC license in the state of Louisiana. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and has extensive experience using evidence-based treatments such as EMDR, CBT, TBRI, TF-CBT, Prepare/Enrich, Gottman, EFT, and others in her practice.
Currently, Jeane’s clinical work is focused on helping couples navigate some of the most complex marital challenges, including infidelity and grief, as well as providing specialized trauma-informed care to individuals (adolescents and adults). She considers a privilege and the greatest reward to participate in and witness the growth of her clients.
She brings a rich and diverse background shaped by more than 12 years as an educator, along with experience as a business owner, curriculum developer, group facilitator, and speaker.
Jeane is married to Oliver, with whom she has “grown older” for more than two decades, and together they are enjoying the adventurous journey of parenting their adult children. Her family loves fishing, hunting, traveling, watching movies, trying international cuisine, and spending quality time with family and friends. They attend church regularly and are committed to knowing God and being a tool in His hand.
